Pain As a Messenger: Physical & Emotional Support with Herbs by Rachelle Robinett, RH(AHG)

What if pain wasn’t just something to eliminate—but rather something to interpret, work with, and grow from while healing? In this class, we’ll explore how herbs and holistic practices can support both physical and emotional pain, helping shift our relationship to discomfort while restoring balance in body, mind, and beyond.

Class Description:

In this masterclass, herbalist, author, and educator Rachelle Robinett, RH(AHG) explores pain as a deeply personal, multi-dimensional experience—one that lives in the body, but is also shaped by the mind, emotions, and environment. Through a blend of traditional herbalism and modern insight, you’ll learn how to work with both physical and emotional pain using plants and supportive practices.

Together, we’ll look at how pain is perceived, processed, and expressed, and how herbs can intervene not only to ease discomfort, but to modulate the body’s response to it. You’ll be introduced to a range of analgesic and nervine herbs—from everyday kitchen botanicals to more specialized herbs—and learn how to match them to different types of pain, from acute and inflammatory to chronic, cyclical, and stress-related.

We’ll also explore the role of the nervous system, stress, and emotional patterning in shaping pain, offering tools to support resilience, regulation, and repair. By the end of this class, you’ll have a nuanced understanding of how to approach pain holistically, and a practical framework for building herbal protocols that address both its physical and emotional dimensions.
